Recognized Student Organizations are required to complete the following items each year to maintain their recognition status:
- Have an organization officer attend the Presidents/Officers meeting hosted by the Center for Student Involvement each semester.
- Have the organization treasurer or similar officer attend the Treasurers meeting hosted by the Center for Student Involvement each semester.
- Maintain up-to-date Officer lists in 1850 with correctly labeled officer positions and roles.
- Maintain an active membership list to be provided to the Center for Student Involvement when asked during periods of membership audits.
- Have a listed full-time UD Faculty/Staff member as an adviser for the organization.
- Register all meetings and events in a timely manner.
- Complete the Fall and Spring Semester Checkpoints within the assigned timeframes.
- Follow all UD policies, regulations, and guidelines for students and student organizations and answer questions regarding the organization from university officials.
Failure to Meet Recognition Requirements
An organization failing to adhere to these requirements and/or poorly maintaining their organization will be placed under review by the Center for Student Involvement. The Center for Student Involvement may place an organization on hold in which case the organization should cease all functions and officers will need to meet with CSI staff to discuss the future of the organization. The Center for Student Involvement may require new officers be put into place.
