A Letter from the Vice President of Membership

Welcome to the University of Dayton!

Your decision to join a Panhellenic sorority commits you to collegiate years focused on service, connection, personal development, and a continued goal of improving our campus and community. College lasts for four years, but the memories you will make and the bonds of sisterhood you will gain last for life.

Over the course of the recruitment weekend, you may see yourself in one chapter or another; you may think you already know where you want to run home to on Bid Night. I encourage you to keep your mind open to opportunity in every chapter that you see. You are not just joining a single organization, but a whole community of Panhellenic women, who are excited to get to know you and welcome you.

Remember to enjoy this weekend; take a breath, be authentic, and seek out a chapter that encourages your growth and whose values align with your own. I am so excited to be a leader in this process, and I know all of our chapters have so many wonderful and unique things to offer!

In my role, I strive to remain as open and honest as possible about the sorority experience in order to welcome new members to our campus with open arms. My best piece of advice for anyone entering this process is to believe in your most authentic self and look for connections that bring out the best in you! Choose to surround yourself with women who challenge you, champion you, and inspire you for the better, and commit to being that woman for your sisters and this community.

I am excited for you to begin this journey! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at panhellenic@udayton.edu

With Panhellenic Love,
Lauren Zadalis, Vice President of Membership
