Why are you running for SGA?

We are running for SGA because we are a touch crazy. We're Misfits. Rebels. Troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. We're not fond of rules and we have no respect for the status quo. You can quote us. Disagree with us. Glorify or vilify us. About the only things you can't do is ignore us, because we change things. we push the human face forward. while some may see us as the "crazy ones", we see genius. because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the word, are the ones who do. https://youtu.be/-z4NS2zdrZc

Ikeyaira:
We hope to better our campus through our position in SGA. By creating more environments for students to relax and distress whether in the library or between classes. We hope by being in these positions, students would grow to feel more comfortable in all spaces.

GREENCAP CAMPAIGN FOR STUDENT GOVERNMENT @greencaps.udayton Our campaign is founded on 2 principles: Sustainability & Fiscal Responsibility. We know that we can make meaningful strides in sustainability. For example, most batteries are not discarded of properly; which can leak acid into landfills, making them toxic. How easy would it be to have little green battery disposal boxes peppered thought the school? Why don't we modernize our classrooms with movement-sensored light switches; saving the school Energy & Money? Why dont we utilize some of the existing land on the campus to create a community garden; providing the campus with organic, healthy fruits while teaching a valuable life skill? We know that we can make meaningful strides in bring Fiscally Responsible. The Student Government is beyond blessed to be endowed with a quarter-million dollar budget; but most kids don't know what the Student Government even does. The GREENCAPS consider this a failure. How can we better spend the money of the students to make the absolute best student experience in Ohio? How can we invest in interesting projects that students actually care about? SLEEPING PODS IN ROESCH LIBRARY? We know that our generation struggles with anxiety; why not look into a MEDITATION ROOM in KENNEDY UNION? Why not start a conversation with parking services to see if we can get a 'strike-system' in place where you have 2 or 3 strikes BEFORE they FINE YOU. Is that conversation worth having? The GREENCAPS think so. The GREENCAPS also PROUDLY boast, for the FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME, our ALL-FEMALE ACADEMIC SENATE! Diversity is not just a slogan to us; we recognize diversity of thought is powerful, and that our strength lies in one other. What experiences do you have that will help you be successful in this role?
