Fall 2020 Guidance for Student Organizations/SORG COVID-19 Addendum

The following guidelines have been instituted or updated:

Due to the elevation of our campus status level to 4 – RED – WARNING all in-person gatherings and events (including table hours) are suspended and student organizations must meet virtually until further notice.

The following guidelines have been instituted or updated:

Due to the elevation of our campus status level to 3 – YELLOW – CAUTION all in-person gatherings and events (including table hours) are suspended and student organizations must meet virtually until further notice.
 



Update: August 20, 2020
The following guidelines have been instituted or updated:

SORG COVID-19 Addendum

  • The Fall 2020 Guidance for Student Organization (aka SORG COVID-19 Addendum) document contains the most up-to-date guidelines for recognized student organizations and supersedes the "usual" SORG guidelines. 

  • Student organizations that violate these guidelines and/or safety measures will be suspended and their activities prohibited at least through the end of the fall 2020 semester.

Student Organization Officer Training

  • ALL student organization officers are required to attend ONE oZoom training session over the next two weeks. See page 1 of the linked document above for instructions on registering for trainings. Space in each Zoom room is limited and you must register to receive your personalized link.

General Guidance on Gatherings and Events

  • Student organizations are prohibited from hosting gatherings or events in any UD-owned or operated residential space, including: Special Interest, Legacy, or Neighborhood Houses/Yards; Private Residence Hall Rooms/Apartments, or common/shared spaces in residence halls.

General Health and Safety Guidelines

  • Face Coverings/Masks: All participants must wear face coverings or masks at all gatherings and events, both indoors and outdoors, regardless of the ability to physically distance.

Student Organization Business Meetings

  • See new guidance for business meetings on page 2 of the linked document above.

Food Safety at Gaterings and Events

  • See new guidelines issued for food safety on page 3 of the linked document above.

Student Organization Tabling

  • Approval from the In-Person Event Request Review Committee is NOT required for tabling. Student organizations can call CSI at 937-229-3333 to reserve a table.

  • Student organizations are NOT required to track attendance at table hours.

Student Organization Finances

  • See new guidelines issued for use of student organization group funds on page 6 of the linked document above.



Update: August 3, 2020
The following bullet point was added on this date to clarify guidance on Takeovers:

Bake Sales and other Fundraising Activities

  • Recognizing the benefit of business/restaurant takeovers to student organizations' fundraising efforts, we will allow these types of fundraisers, however student organizations may not travel together as a group to the location.
