Are you ready for a life-changing experience?

One in five children in America live at or below the poverty line. These numbers should disturb us, yet statistics can have a numbing effect. The Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) offers an opportunity to gain a glimpse into the lives of families in our communities that face poverty everyday.

Think Tank and the CareSource Foundation partnered to develop COPE, which was co-designed with low-income individuals who shared their story to give participants a glimpse into the lives of low-income individuals and families living in our community. Their stories go beyond the stereotype of what is seen on the news or written about under-resourced individuals. Also captured in the experience is the role that the broader community plays in their interactions with low-income families.

Sign up to help us facilitate this unique experience. Throughout the duration of the event you will serve as a facilitator for a specific piece of the simulation. You may be a teacher, a police officer, or a case worker among many other important roles.

Space is limited so pre-registration is required.

PLEASE NOTE: Space is limited to the first 20 students who complete pre-registration by November 7th. Please click here to pre-register. PATH credit will only be issued to those who remain for the duration of the event and assist with the facilitaiton of the event (you will receive training and guidance).
