Gender norms are at the root of many issues facing women and men in society. They are implicit or explicit rules, expectations, and standards placed on women and men regarding how they should behave and be treated by society. They can even impact how we choose our college major and can ultimately affect our career trajectory. In this workshop, we will build awareness about gender norms and why they matter, explore how gendered stereotypes affect education and career prospects, and develop skills and strategies to better advocate for ourselves and others.

PLEASE NOTE: Space may be limited and admission is not guaranteed. Seats may not be reserved for others as it is first-come-first-serve and all participants are asked to wait outside of the room in an orderly and respectful fashion until a facilitator is present and ready for individuals to begin being seated. PATH credit will only be issued to those who remain for the duration of the event.
