About Us

RE-volv, the national organization, is a non-profit organization, stationed in San Francisco, with a mission to empower people and communities to invest collectively in renewable energy. RE-volv provides solar financing to community-based nonprofits and cooperatives around the country without access to traditional solar finance. These organizations save money on their electric costs while paying RE-volv back through a 20-year lease. The lease payments are reinvested in a revolving fund that continually finances community-based solar projects. RE-volv has solar ambassadors at multiple schools around the country to help them implement these projects. This includes finding an organization interested, identifying a solar installer for the installation, working with a crowd funding campaign to finance the project, and working with social media to raise awareness of RE-volv and solar energy. The RE-volv Club at UD will be working alongside a non-profit with the local community to implement solar energy.
