You@Dayton: YOU@Dayton is a comprehensive wellbeing platform that is designed to help YOU find success. The portal is customized for University of Dayton and your account is personalized to your life!

JED Campus: Includes multiple initiatives for mental wellbeing on a college campus, including Mental Health is Health, which offers some solutions and advice for coping with a variety of emotions and stressful situations; Set to Go, which offers advice for making the transition from high school to college; and Love is Louder, which offers suggestions for coping with the stress of current events.

Brook Center: On UD campus, they offer a wide variety of programming, education, and support. The Co-Pilots are peer health coaches who can assist you as a student in meeting a variety of wellness goals. Peers Advocating for Violence Education (PAVE) provide education and support around issues of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking. Q*mmunity Leaders work to provide support and education around LGBTQ+ issues on UD campus. Additionally, the Brook Center offers Ally+ Training, and Green Dot training.

Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC): Provides physical space as well as programming and resources for students to learn more about their own ethnic/cultural identity and that of others.

Campus Ministry can be a great resource for students seeking guidance informed by their faith background.

Apps

Calm – Meditate, Sleep, Relax for iOS and Android – limited free version with purchases available. Calm is the perfect mindfulness app for beginners, but also includes hundreds of programs for intermediate and advanced users. Guided meditation sessions are available in lengths of 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes so you can choose the perfect length to fit with your schedule. Lower stress, less anxiety, and more restful sleep with our guided meditations, Sleep Stories, breathing programs, masterclasses, and relaxing music.

Headspace – Meditation and Sleep for iOS and Android – free. The Headspace meditation app teaches you how to breathe, meditate, and live mindfully. There are exercises on everything from managing anxiety to stress relief to breathing, happiness, calm, and focus. Even if you've never meditated before, the free Basics course will teach you the essentials of meditation and mindfulness.

Stop Breathe Think - for iOS, Android, Web – free with optional add-ons. "Stop Breathe and Think is an easy-to-use app that is a great introduction to meditation and mindfulness. When you sign into the app, you're given a few minutes to select how you're feeling both mentally and physically, as well as any emotions. The app will then recommend a short selection of meditations for you to do based on what you need in the moment. Most of the meditations are fairly short, making this a great app to try."

Wildflower - for iOS, Android – free to download with in-app purchases. "Wildflowers is a mindfulness meditation app that takes mindfulness to the next level. The app uses your phone's camera to measure your heart rate, providing data which helps the app to learn more about you. You can also use their meditation suggestion tool to find meditations for your mood and track your progress in the journal."

Breathe2Relax - for iOS and Android – free. Breathe2Relax is a portable stress management tool which provides detailed information on the effects of stress on the body and instructions and practice exercises to help users learn the stress management skill called diaphragmatic breathing. Breathing exercises have been documented to decrease the body's 'fight-or-flight' (stress) response, and help with mood stabilization, anger control, and anxiety management. Breathe2Relax can be used as a stand-alone stress reduction tool, or can be used in tandem with clinical care directed by a healthcare worker. Breathe2Relax now uses HealthKit and your Apple Watch device to measure your heart rate throughout your breathing exercise to help provide an even more complete picture of the relaxation experienced.

Mindshift - for iOS, Android – free. MindShift uses scientifically proven strategies based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you learn to relax and be mindful, develop more effective ways of thinking, and use active steps to take charge of your anxiety. Helps with worry, panic, perfectionism, social anxiety, and phobias. Features: CBT-based tools, quick relief, thought journal, coping cards, belief experiments, facing fears, expanding your comfort zone, chill zone, check-in, healthy habits, and goal setting

ACT Coach - for iOS and Android – free. ACT Coach was developed for Veterans, Servicemembers, and other people who are in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in consultation with a therapist. It offers exercises, tools, information, and tracking logs so you can practice what you're learning in your daily life. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) aims to help you live with unpleasant thoughts, feelings, and impulses without avoiding them or being controlled by them. In ACT, you are encouraged to commit to actions so that you can live your life by your values, even in the face of these unpleasant experiences.

CBT-I Coach - for iOS and Android – free. CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The app will guide you through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving your sleep environment. It provides a structured program that teaches strategies proven to improve sleep and help alleviate symptoms of insomnia.

Happify - for iOS, Android – free. "Happify is an app that focuses on, you guessed it, happiness! Based on science, the app provides a selection of activities that are designed to boost your mood, reduce negative thinking, and improve mindfulness and relaxation."

Three Good Things – Gratitude Journal for iOS and Android – free for 2 weeks, $.99 a month after trial. Sends notifications daily to input 3 good things that happened to you that day.

T2 Mood Tracker - for iOS and Android – free. T2 Mood Tracker is designed to help you track your emotional experience over time and to provide you with a tool to share this information with your health care provider. This app comes with six pre-loaded issues: anxiety, depression, general well-being, head injury, post-traumatic stress, and stress. You can also add customized scales on any topic (e.g., a pain scale). You use simple sliders to rate yourself on these behavioral categories and the app automatically graphs your inputs. You can also make notes describing things that happened during the day that may have affected your moods. This provides you and your health care provider with a complete tool to help you uncover patterns in how you are feeling. It may also help you to evaluate the impact of daily events or the effects of treatment on your mood.

Quit That - for iOS – free. This is a very simple app that allows you to track habits you want to quit. It is not necessarily a mental health app, however, it's great if there are bad habits, possibly related to your illness, you'd like to stop doing. It also allows you to input if the habit costs anything per day, and it will then show you how much money you've saved since you've quit, which is a great motivator.
