AVIATE Alignment: COMMUNITY LIVING

Who should attend: Students interested in becoming a recovery ally in order to feel better prepared to support students or loved ones that are impacted by substance used.

Recovery is Spoken Here - Recovery Ally Training provides information on what it means to have a substance use disorder and the importance of using recovery inclusive language. Students will learn how they can serve as a recovery ally, creating an environment where students in or seeking recovery from alcohol and other drugs feel accepted and affirmed in their journey to wellness, are encouraged to share about their recovery, feel comfortable asking for help, and are celebrated by the University of Dayton community. Light refreshments will be provided. Upon completion of this training, participants will receive a t-shirt.

PLEASE NOTE: Space will be limited to 30 seats and admission is not guaranteed.  and admission is not guaranteed. Pre-registration is required at https://forms.gle/wRke5igJVG3hrfoj6 by September 20. PATH credit will only be issued to those who remain for the duration of the event.
