AVIATE Alignment: AUTHORSHIP and INTERCULTURALISM 

As an institution, our goal in focusing on diversity and inclusion is to equip students with skills and knowledge they can apply to improve the campus community and take with into future workplaces and communities. 

Valuing diversity is not only a strategic priority but is in the very fabric of who we are as an institution of higher learning. Through participation in this module, UDiversity, you will be guided through an introduction of concepts to consider in your daily connections with others on campus. From a variety of perspectives, the concepts of stereotypes, unconscious bias, and microaggressions have a direct impact on the student experience and influences a student’s sense of belonging and their ability to consider themselves a member of the UD community.

To participate, please follow the following steps:

  1. Access the UDiversity module by logging into your Isidore account
  2. Scroll down on the Homepage and select the UDiversity tab at the bottom of the toolbar on the left sid of the page
  3. You will be required to do the following before being permitted to begin:
    • Acknolwedge the Valuing Diversity statement
    • Read all instructions
    • Watch the introduction video
  4. Each skit in the module will have a video. You will be required to watch each video/skit, in its entirety, before moving on to answer the subsequent questions
  5. Successful completion requires all answers to be correct (a score of 100%). If you answer incorreectly, the module with indicate that it is incomplete. You will have the opportunity to return to the incorrect answer and make another selection.
  6. Upon successful completion, you will be taken to a confirmation page with with a timestamp.
  7. At the final knowledge check, a confirmation page titled, "Congratulations" will signal successful completion of the UDiversity Module with a timestamp. If needed, you will be able to log in again to see your completion page.
  8. All responses will be tracked by the UDiversity coordination team for PATH credit determination and submitted to supervisors/instructors (as appropriate).

PLEASE NOTE: PATH credit will be issued on the first business day of each month. Please do not contact facilitators inquiring about missing points until this time in the month following the month you completed the opportunity. Individuals who complete this opportunity in the fall will have their point issued on December 16th to cound towards Sepcial Interest Housing (if applicable).
