History

Charter History

The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Theta Chapter was the first student organization established at the University of Dayton by seven African American college students in attendance at the University

These seven college brothers put an initiative towards organizing among the community of black students on campus, and formulated this establishment before black students were allowed to live on campus.
