Event Announcements
Hello Flyers!
I apologies for the amount of emails I have sent recently. The frequency will slow down soon, there is just a lot of information to share at the beginning of the year.
We are happy to officially announce the biggest events we have ever hosted! Coming up in October, Flyer Disc Golf will be presenting the Mystery Flyer Challenge and the Tricks and Treats Doubles events. Add our Google Calendar to stay up to date on events such as these, as well as meetings and practices.
All players are REQURIED to sign up for both events on 1850, or they will not be allowed to participate! Links to the 1850 event pages are at the bottom of this email.
Dues: September 22
Before I announce any upcoming events, this is a reminder that $10 DUES ARE TO BE PAID BY SEPTEMBER 22nd! We have extended the deadline as very few people have paid, and I am not sure if everyone was aware of the dues.
Mystery Flyer Challenge - October 7th, 2023
FLYER DISC GOLF PRESENTS the Mystery Flyer Challenge Fundraiser.
Join the University of Dayton Flyers for a fun day of disc golf at Belmont Park! This will be a 1 round, unsanctioned tournament playing the Infinite Discs Mystery Challenge! We will be playing the full 19 hole layout at Belmont Park, with the ability to add a temp hole or 2 depending on interest. There will be 3 divisions:
MADV (players 900+ rated) - Advanced layout (long pads on holes 2,3,12,16)
MREC (players rated 899 and below) - Rec layout (all short pads)
With entry, you will receive a set of 3 random discs, including 1 driver, 1 midrange, and 1 putter. These discs will be the only 3 discs you are allowed to use during your round. THESE DISCS ARE BORROWED FROM THE CLUB, PLEASE RETURN THEM AFTER THE ROUND!
Cost
-Entry fee: FREE!
-$5 optional ace pot (100% payout if ace is hit! If no ace is hit, we will throw off for 50% of the pot while the club will keep the other 50% for fundraising)
-$2 CTP (1 CTP hole per division, each division will have its own prize)
-$3 super CTP (1 CTP to be played by all divisions, overall CTP will win the super CTP prize)
THIS EVENT IS TROPHY ONLY. All proceeds from the event will be used to help to cover costs for the University of Dayton Disc Golf Club to compete in the 2023/24 College Disc Golf season!

Mystery Flyer Challenge - October 29th, 2023
FLYER DISC GOLF PRESENTS: Tricks or Treats Doubles!
Join the Flyers for a day at Belmont Park. This event will be a random draw doubles event with a twist! In honor of Halloween, each hole will have a different trick or treat associated with it. For example, you may be forced to putt blindfolded (trick) or you may be given a free mulligan (treat)! As this is a Halloween event, everyone is encouraged to wear a costume to play in! It is not required, but it may be helpful for a trick/treat ;)
This will be a 1 round event, playing the full 19 hole course at Belmont Park with the option of adding some temp holes depending of interest. There will only be 1 division. Everyone will play the long pad on 16. All other holes will be played from the short pad. Partners will be assigned randomly via random draw doubles format.
There will be a few prizes given out during the round and even more following the round. There will be a CTP and Long Drive contest during the round with small prizes for the winners. The overall winner will also receive a prize. There will be no payout for this event, TROPHY ONLY.
Following the round, all UDDGC members will be invited to 1919 Trinity Ave. for lunch and games! I will provide chili and water. Feel free to bring your own dish or snacks, and be sure to bring an appetite! Anyone interested in lunch will be asked to pay a small amount to help cover the cost of food. Following lunch, we will host a putting contest and play a few rounds of Ring of Fire! This is sure to be a fun day!

Bluegrass Regional - February 24-25, 2024
The first CDG Event announcement of the year! The Bluegrass Regional will play on February 24-25 at Falling Springs and Jacobson Park in Lexington, KY. Not much information is available at the moment. We will relay more information on this when it gets closer.
