About Us

University of Dayton's Studio Theatre is a club aimed at providing students with a chance to participate in theatre for free, and works to provide free theater for everyone in the Dayton area. We are entirely student-led, with students running every single aspect of the production and working together to participate in something they love.

We produce (and are not limited to) full-lengths and one-act plays and musicals, and compilations of short sketches. We perform in both a proscenium theatre as well as a black box style experimental theater, which gives students a chance to perform things outside the box.

We seek to provide quality theatre free of charge to The University of Dayton's campus. We are recognized as a University of Dayton organization, run by the Studio Board, which comprises five members responsible for managing operations and producing all shows.

Besides being a theatre organization, Studio Theatre aims to foster lifelong friendships and bonds among its members. Our focus is on having fun together, doing things we love, and spending time together at non-theatre events hosted by the club.
