Chi Rho offers University of Dayton students a Catholic brotherhood experience - an experience that will provide members a chance to grow in their faith through traditional Catholic practices in the context of a challenging, brotherly community. As members of Chi Rho, we commit to supporting each other in the deepening of our faith lives. Chi Rho is based upon 3 central pillars: Faith: We strive to improve our Catholic faith by discussing religious and faith based topics relevant to the life of a college student and doing various "faith" challenges over the week. Brotherhood: We grow our bonds of brotherhood by talking about our week with each other and creating a stress and judgement free environment so that brothers can feel free to share anything on their mind and feel as if they have a support system behind them Service: We go out a few times a semester to do some form of service so that we can help those who are less fortunate than us. The type of service we do varies each semester. By doing service as a brotherhood, we hope to inspire everyone to also do service as individuals in their own lives. Chi Rho is open to new members year-round, and are welcomed and encouraged to join in our weekly meetings. If you are on the fence about joining, the best way to decide is to come to a couple of meetings and see if you enjoy Chi Rho. There are no obligations for new members who are interested in joining. Every year in the spring, Chi Rho has initiation and retreat. Initiation is the formal process of bringing new members into Chi Rho officially. Obligations for being initiated are minimal; initiation really shows that you like Chi Rho and are dedicated to the brotherhood. You do not have to be initiated to come to meetings.
