As the in person school year begins to come to an end, we on the Business team want to talk about some of the progress we have made so far this semester.
Rover Updates
We have began to discuss plans to start testing out our rover when it is assembled next semester. This of course requires a lot of paper work behind the scenes so we have set up some dates and times of when we want to be finished with it all. Next, we have also began to discuss travel plans for when our rover is up to our expectations.
Funding Updates
To begin, earlier in the year we were gifted a donation from Eaton and even got to hear a little about them. We are very thankful that Eaton could do that for us. Next two of our leaders Greg Molskow and Katie Wirkner presented a proposal for special funding to our Student Government Association on October 25th. SGA decided to fully fund our request which we are very appreciative of and thankful for. This will allow us to purchase necessary supplies for building the rover. Big thanks to SGA again! Finally, we are also looking for other methods of funding, including the PMMI U Skills Fund. This requires collaborating with a company outside of the university, writing formal letters to PMMI, and filling out an application.
