Welcome New Members
Hello Flyers!
For those of you who are new members, welcome! For those of you who are returning to the club this year, welcome back! We are so glad to have you chosen to give the disc golf club a shot!
For all of our new members, I would like to briefly discuss our mission statement and club values. Flyer Disc Golf is committed to growing the sport of disc golf at the college level. We aim to help new players discover a passion for disc golf while simultaneously fostering that passion in more seasoned players. We are competitive by nature, as we think healthy competition is essential to growth as both a disc golfer and as a person. More importantly, though, we aim to foster a supportive, social environment that is welcoming to players of all skill levels. Whether you have been playing the sport for 10 years or will be picking up a disc for the first time, you have a space at Flyer Disc Golf.
We are incredibly excited to continue our journey with all of you at the center!
Important Meeting Information
We will be hosting an Information Session this Wednesday, August 30th from 7-8 pm in Science Center room 150. I encourage all of you to attend, as we will share information about our upcoming schedule of events, practices, club outings, and meetings. Please spread the word! This session is open to everyone, not just those who expressed interest at Up the Orgs.
If you would like to attend the information session, please register on 1850. The event may not be live when this email is sent, but it will be active to RSVP prior to Wednesday.
We will also be hosting our first club event of the year this Sunday, September 3rd at Belmont Park. The inaugural Flyer Disc Golf Combine will take place from 10 am-12 pm. This will be a fun, non-judgemental event where club members can test their skills in accuracy, driving, and putting. Whether you want to try and set high scores or get some pointers on how to improve, this event has something for everyone. The 1850 registration link will be attached below. We hope to see you all there!
Information on other upcoming events will be released after the information session.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me via email (watta3@udayton.edu).
We are incredibly excited about the upcoming season, and hope you all are too!
Keep on discing!
