About Us
Mission The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is a self-governing body composed of different culturally-based national and international fraternities and sororities. MGC promotes success in higher education and advances diversity, inclusion, and multicultural awareness, while catering to marginalized groups at the University of Dayton. The MGC creates a foundation for fellowship between fraternities and sororities with intentionally Multi-Ethnic, Multicultural, Gender-inclusive, and/or diverse memberships, and allows for their representation and voice on campus and within the Greater Dayton Community. Vision The Multicultural Greek Council strives to respect and honor all cultures and traditions of its member organizations through awareness and promotion of all cultural, ethnic, or diverse backgrounds. MGC works to create the foundation for diversity within the University's Fraternity and Sorority Life community and build a safe space for marginalized and underrepresented individuals. MGC creates opportunities for students from all walks of life to engage in service, philanthropy, and fellowship as well as furnishes educational opportunities to learn more about culture and diversity. Values The Multicultural Greek Council shall serve as the governing body to represent and unify the organizations that are housed within it.
