THIS WEEK'S ANNOUNCEMENT
CENTER POLICY CHANGES
In preparation for your return, we have shifted our policies to help keep us all safe. Please take a moment to review the changes below, and please share with members of our MEC Community.
1. FOOD AND DRINKS:Food and drinks are not allowed within the Center to maintain proper masking. Please consume all food and beverages in the appropriate dining facilities.
2. AFTER-HOURS ACCESS: Access to the lounge after hours is paused until further notice. The lounge will close beginning at 5:00 PM (no weekend hours).
3. SEATING CAPACITY: Seating capacity within the lounge has been decreased to accommodate proper distancing. However, we have increased the number of available seating spaces throughout the Center.
4. MASKS: Masks are required at all times within Alumni Hall.
We will reevaluate these policies at the beginning of February and adjust accordingly.

Healing & Growth
Join MEC & the Counseling Center starting Jan. 24th for A Space for Healing & Growth.
Date: Mondays Time: 1:15-2:15 Location: Women’s Center Conference Room.
A series of art that recognizes activism across social issues, including Black/African American, LGBTQ+, Indigenous people, Disabilities, and Low socioeconomic status, will open in the Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center.
The Student Leadership Ambassadors are a group of students who work towards the leadership development of their peers. These roles include engaging with a leadership development curriculum, presenting leadership workshops, office administrative work, and other assigned tasks. Students can expect 8-12 hours a week with flexible scheduling and a starting wage of $9.30/ an hour. To learn more about this unique student employment opportunity, check outTHISvideo!
The Department of Mathematics offers free support for University of Dayton students enrolled in pre-calculus or calculus classes at UD (MTH 116, 129, 148, 168, 169, and 218). The help center is staffed by the mathematics faculty and teaching assistants.
Help is available on a drop-in basis and no appointment is necessary. We offer in-person and virtual assistance over Zoom. The Math Help Center is located in Hathcock Hall Room 009 near informal study spaces where you can work on homework or prepare for an upcoming exam with expert advice available when you need it. The Global Learning Academy (GLA) is a CAP-focused, innovative global and intercultural learning program that combines online courses with a two-week theme-based field experience at key international, US, and local/virtual locations. (Travel is not required.)
The Summer 2022 theme is Global Social Justice and Identity. Students can earn 3 or 6 UD credits online over 6-weeks, meet degree and/or CAP requirements, and engage in a meaningful experience in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, or virtually/locally. The Brook Center's Ally+ Workshop series is a great way to actively engage and show your support for the LGBTQ+ community here at the University of Dayton. The workshop includes the terminology, knowledge, skills, and action steps to move forward in your 'all in' ally journey. It is free and open to all UD students, faculty, and staff.
