Alumni Mentoring Program

The Alumni Mentoring Program is designed to make a real impact in the lives of undergraduate students and alumni who participate. The program strives to prepare students for life after graduation. By sharing knowledge and insight, UD alumni are able to set students up for success in their professional careers.

Mentees should be prepared to ask questions, reflect on their career goals, and share their UD experience with their mentor. If you join, you commit to connecting with your mentor at least once a month. As a mentee you can earn a PATH credit once a semester for a substantial in-person meeting, Zoom meeting or phone call. Timeframe & Commitment -The program runs the length of the academic year. Participants commit to connecting at least once a month and responding in a timely manner. Once you have been paired, mentee and mentor should determine how often they would like to connect and the best methods of communication. Initial connection day is October 2, 2024. Additional connection dates will take place every two weeks following this date. On each of our connection days student mentees will be introduced to their selected alumni mentor via email.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
As a result of attending this event, students will be able to...

1. recall and explain two career development skills they learned while in the mentorship program.
2. identify two areas of growth based on feedback from their mentor.

This program will be capped at 100 student mentees with a waitlist of 25.

Once you have created your profile and registered for the Alumni Mentoring Program, you will be paired with an alumni mentor as early as October 2, 2024. Subsequent connection dates will take place every two weeks after October 2 with the last date of connection being January 29, 2025.
